The We4ourselves Youth Council is a platform for young voices to advocate, lead, and drive meaningful change across the Canadian community.
Your Voice Matters
Advocating for real change.
The We4ourselves Youth Council is not just another extracurricular activity. It is an active, dynamic governing body of young individuals who are passionate about shaping their local community.
As a council member, you will sit at the table where decisions are made. You will represent the youth perspective on issues like mental health, employment barriers, and cultural integration, working directly with our executive team to launch real initiatives.
Represent the needs of youth at the community level.
Create and lead community workshops and events.
Being a part of the Youth Council equips you with skills and experiences that will set you apart in college applications and future careers.
Earn officially recognized volunteer and community service hours required for high school graduation and university applications.
Receive exclusive mentorship from community leaders, public speaking training, and project management experience.
Connect with local politicians, business owners, and non-profit directors to build a powerful network for your future career.
The Council isn't just about talking; it's about doing. Here are some of the key areas our youth leaders are actively managing.
Navigating school, cultural expectations, and career pressures is exhausting. The Youth Council organizes safe-space peer support groups and advocates for better mental health resources specifically tailored for marginalized youth.
The Council takes the lead in planning and executing local community events. From local park clean-ups to organizing cultural festivals that celebrate Bengali heritage, our youth are at the forefront of community building.
We are looking for passionate, driven young individuals who want to make a difference. You do not need prior leadership experience—just the willingness to learn and contribute.
Fill out the form below, and our Youth Coordinator will contact you to set up an informal interview.
